How Many Social Media Platforms You Should Be On
We get it, social media is a lot. With plethoras of platforms to choose from it can be quite daunting to know which ones to select for your business.
So why put more on your plate by trying to have it all and post across every platform?
Answer - you definitely shouldn’t be biting off more than you can chew.
If you’re a small biz, pick two of your favourite platforms and get started with those. We say favourite, as you’ll have more knowledge of working on these apps vs ones you know less about (don't be scared of TikTok!) You'll also need to consider where your audience spends time; you might be wanting to target a more mature audience who might not necessarily have an Instagram account, so keep this in mind!

That's not to say you can’t be entertaining or educational on other platforms, but these are loose guidelines to help you figure out which platform to pick based on its original concept.
People often forget about Facebook or use it as a good reminder for birthdays or to check up on memories. But the fact is it has the highest amount of monthly active users and, at 3.05 billion users, you should be tapping into this audience!
Start with regular posting in your brand colours and TOV on your chosen platforms.
Get into batch creation and scheduling, as this will save you a lot of time.
When you're comfortably cooking nicely with your platforms, think about what it is you want to achieve from social media. Which platform would help you achieve this goal?
