IS BRAT BACK? (HEAR US OUT)

Did you think we were done talking about brat? Brat summer may be over but it's now time for bratumn. Charli xcx has brought out another album, which is “brat, and its completely different but its also still brat”. Essentially its brat but all the OG tracks have been remixed.  


So now you’re thinking brat summer is well and truly done, and with cosy season upon us so why are we talking about this? Firstly it’s full of certified bops (not spon, just what we’re liking atm) BUT It’s also a great exercise in reworking things you’ve done well, in order to get more results. And lucky for you, the same theory applies to your digital. 


You know what you’re doing, who you’re targeting, and what you want to get out of your marketing, so instead of redoing things completely, why not do a Charli and remix it? 


Re-working old content that has done well with new captions and updating old blog posts to make it more relevant is the order of the day. 


Repurposing is the greenest thing you can do, just make sure if you’re taking soundbites from a Youtube video, or an IG Reel, you’re properly formatting it for the platform you’ll be posting on. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again; different platforms serve different functions and have different audiences so don’t treat them like they’re the same. 

For example: 

  • LinkedIn posts can be longer 
  • Instagram posts can be more aesthetic 
  • TikToks can be shorter in length and more fun.  

You’ll be surprised how many businesses do this, so why shouldn’t you? Especially if you know you’ve got content that’s done well, it’s the perfect way to give your brain a bit of a break when coming up with fresh content ideas

You know your business and audience better than anyone, so keep it up, and don’t be afraid to look to historically well-performing content and rework it for today’s trends and audiences.
